Comprising some of the most famous carp lakes in the UK, the Yateley West Fishery offers exclusive angling in a beautiful environment. From the ultra-difficult Car Park Lake to the historic North Lake, the Split Lake through to the Pads Lake with its remarkable stock and the River Blackwater, each water has its own character and history.

Yateley Car Park Lake

Where to start? The list of Carp Anglers who have tried to outwit the Carp Park Lake’s residents is a humbling roll call of this county’s finest angling talent.
Terry Hearn, Rob Maylin, Gaz Fareham, Nigel Sharp, Ben Hamilton, Darrell Peck, it goes on and on.
Not to mention numerous equally talented, but less High-Profile anglers.
Home of some of the most memorable Character Fish in the U.K., most of whom have now sadly died. However, with three of the old originals includingArfur remaining and several stockies now nudging 40lb+ the lake has a bright future.
there are currently 30 carp maximum in the car Park Lake. We intend to raise this to 40 fish over the next couple of years with some carefully chosen additions.

Yateley North Lake

 

One of the most famous waters in Carp Angling history, the North Lake is a beautiful 10.7 acres of bars and islands. It really is everything you could want in a mature carp lake.

After draining and re-stocking in 2004, the exact current carp stock is a matter of debate, but the best view we can get at the present time is 110 – 120 Carp which includes 2 x 40lb’s (at the right time), 6 x 35lb+ & 25 x 30lb+.

Membership is limited to 50 anglers/tickets each year, which runs from 1st April – 31st March.

 

Yateley Split Lake

The Split Lake is a very attractive 8.5 acres and home to Carp, Monster Cats & Tench.
There are many large cats here to 70lb+ and a 80lb specimen would not be a surprise.
Tench also thrive and have been caught to over 11lb.
Carp stock includes a very large Ghostie which has been seen by a number of respected anglers and is certainly over 40lb. This has yet to be caught.
In total there are about 90 carp present, with around 10 over 30lb.
These include Redmire commons, one of which has been recently caught at 36lb.
The lake has been very weedy and underfished in recent times. However, with the weed removal and ongoing management we think this will become a very popular syndicate water.
Maximum membership 40 initially, to be reviewed through the first syndicate year.

 

Yateley Pads Lake

The Pads Lake is a mature lake on the west side of the old Cemex Angling Yateley Complex, which is now owned by Yateley West Fishery with bookings managed exclusively by us here at Yateley Angling Centre.

The lake has an extensive gravel bar system and an average depth of 5 feet. The venue’s name originates from the magnificent stands of water lilies that adorn the western bank of the lake.With approximately 80 carp present, the majority from a 1998 stocking of Fishers Pond strain fish; average weights are well over 20lb with roughly 30+ different fish over the 30lb mark, to a current top weight of 40lb+.
